1. What makes your site different from others?
Voice Registry is the only “Actor” website that directly links
your personal website or VR Site to the 100+ voice-over Talent
Agencies on Voicebank.net, the industry’s most used resource. Voice
Registry places you a mouse click away from being heard by the top Agents
in the world. Thousands of major commercials, animated movies & series,
as well as radio spots are cast through Voicebank.net. To see a list of
the Agencies, go to http://www.voicebank.net/default.jsp?ptype=reels&types=TI
or http://www.voicebank.net/default.jsp?ptype=reels&types=N.
To view lists of Ad Agencies, Animation Houses and Production Facilities
that use the service, select a category from the drop down menu on the reels
page. Back To Top
2. Does Voice Registry
give me access to auditions?
No. Even though there are production companies and casting directors that
use Voice Registry for casting purposes, our system does not generate
audition material. Back To Top
3. Why should I join Voice Registry?
Aggressive marketing is the best way to develop contacts and a career;
having a website is a big part of that. Voice Registry provides you with
an inexpensive and easy-to-manage website that not only allows you to
market yourself, but saves money on CD duplication and mailing. If you
already have a website and are looking for an Agent, the Voice Registry
search engine will link your website to every Talent Agency on Voicebank.net
(VR Link). Agents use Voice Registry to search for new talent to add to their
rosters. Back To Top
4. What’s a “VR Link”?
“VR Link” stands for Voice Registry Link. If you already have
your own website, you can link it to our search engine, enabling Talent Agents
to search for your type of voice. Back To Top
5. Tell me about your search engine…
The VR search engine uses over 10 categories and hundreds of specific
keywords to help categorize your voice. When you join, YOU add the keywords
and search criteria that best fit your talents. You can update your criteria
yourself at any time. If there are categories and keywords that you feel
are missing, give us a call and we’ll discuss adding them to the
search. Check out the search engine here: http://www.voiceregistry.com/voice_search/index.php.

6. Will I get an Agent if I join?
We do not guarantee landing an Agent or work. Much of your success depends
on the quality of your demo and your “getting yourself out there”.
We aggressively promote Voice Registry to our Talent Agency clients but ultimately,
Agents make the decision to listen and offer representation to Actors. Back

7. Do I have to be a “techie” to manage my VR Site?
Not at all. We will walk you through the process of uploading audio demos,
graphics, resumes, changing contact information…everything, as often
as you need it. The pages are well laid out and the instructions are easy
to follow. If you ever have a question, don’t hesitate to call or
email us. Back To Top
8. Can I stream video reels from my VR Site?
Yes you can. We support QuickTime video files (.mov). Video files must
be uploaded by our office. If you have them already compressed and in
.mov format, email them to us and we’ll take care of adding them.

9. What kind of computer & software do I have to have?
You can use Windows, Mac or Linux. We support MP3 audio files, GIF and
JPEG graphic files, as well as Microsoft Word documents (DOC) and Portable
Document Format (PDF). If you have recently bought a computer (in the
last 2 - 3 years), you’ll most likely be up-to-date. Back

10. How fast does my Internet connection have to be?
For uploading content to your VR Site, we recommend cable or DSL lines with
a minimum “up” speed of 128k. 56k modems are slow and inconsistent
in their ability to transmit data, especially larger audio files. We dual-encode
audio files so that they can “stream” without buffering on
56k telephone lines. These “Lo-Fi” files are smaller and are
not as good in quality, but can be accessed if you or potential Talent Agents
are not on broadband. Back To Top
11. What service options do I have if I get an Agent?
If you sign with an Agent on Voicebank.net during your subscription period,
your VR Site or personal website can be linked to ALL of the demos that your Agent
puts on the Voicebank.net site. This is called a Premium Site or
Premium Link. Every demo will have a red star in front of your name and
your name will be in blue to show that it’s a link to your Premium Site or personal
site. If you do not wish to transfer the account, you may continue to
use your VR Site or personal site to try to find other Agents or work. WE WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY
RENEW YOUR SUBSCRIPTION AND CHARGE YOU WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION. Back
